"Late bloomers are prone to caution,
to much reluctance. Late and bloom is a
curious combination, an inference that
something has bloomed but should have
bloomed sooner. Though blooming late
has its frustrations, it is better than not
blooming at all. After all, there is a certain
novelty in a truant bloom, a kind of triumph.
Late bloomers arrive on the scene once the
other blooms have departed."
